A white mare in a brown overcoat stepped over a puddle of water in the dirt. She had a thing about avoiding puddles, somethin' about the way it was just the leftovers of a well scheduled rainfall made her not like 'em.

The mare had her wits about her and her hat down. She didn't like this side of town, smelled too much like a bad time. But right now, almost everything did.

It was just one a' those nights, the ones where you know that somewhere somethin' nasty was going down. A night where two ponies would meet each other but only one would be able to tell anypony what happ

Chapter 5

The wind swept through the Sandy Dunes Desert as a lone figure wandered through it's sands. A yellow pegasus, with it's wing wrapped in white bandage and a dark green jacket. The pony wore their light brown hat, keeping the glaring sun out of their eyes.

Daring-Do trudged through the sand, focused on putting one hoof in front of the other. It felt as if she had walking for hours. She was starting to see why ponies always said it was dangerous to walk through a desert; she had always known it was dangerous but it was different having to do it yourself.

Just for fun I decided to try out making a little animation for my fanfic The Night Will Last Forever in Photoshop using a gif format. Animating with a gif in PS in hard. T_T

This gif covers most of the events of the story, including:
-The demise of the Mane 6.
-Nightmare Moon controlling Twilight's magic to destroy Ponyville.
-Celestia's battle with Zecora.
-The introduction of Fate.

I really had fun making it, even if Photoshop Elements 8 hates making gifs...
Next chapter up soon.

Yeah, it kinda has to be fast in order for the "transition" effect to work properly and not look choppy. I'm REEAAAALLY limited by my version of PS when it comes to gifs :/
